In conjunction with The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery and owner Seda Baghdasarian, the Revolver Gallery of Beverly Hills and owner Ron Rivlin are proud to bring its traveling exhibition, “Andy Warhol: Icons & Symbols,” to its new home at the Malibu Lumber Yard, now through October 13.

The exhibition will be traveling from its summer location at the prestigious L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, where it opened to critical acclaim.

“Malibu is the perfect location for the second stop of our worldwide tour of the exhibition,” said Rivlin. “We started at the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, the mecca of celebrity culture. I think it is important to share Warhol’s work with everyone, and especially focus on how his work is so much more than iconic imagery of celebrities. That is why I wanted to team up with Seda and bring our collection to the premier shopping destination, Malibu.”

The Revolver Gallery boasts one of the largest inventories of Warhol works, and this exhibition will feature more than 30 original screenprints from the Pop Art master. Works to be featured will include the Liz Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Truman Capote, Mao and Campbell’s Soup Cans prints. Also featured at the exhibition is Warhol’s Personal Polaroid Camera, which was recently featured by Digital Trends and PopPhoto.com.

Andy Warhol was one of the 20th century’s most influential artists and cultural critics. As one of the key players in the Pop Art movement, he developed his own method of screenprinting in the early 1960s, and it wasn’t long before he was creating groundbreaking works that brought attention to American pop culture and the lifestyle of Hollywood celebrities.

The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery is a nature-inspired, eco-conscious art and design gallery located in the center of the prime-shopping destination in Malibu, CA. The exhibition is sponsored by the prestigious Surfrider Foundation, which has a strong presence in Malibu.

“Andy Warhol: Icons & Symbols” runs through October 13.

The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery is located at 3939 Cross Creek Road, D13, Malibu, CA 90265. For more information: revolverwarholgallery.com; mlygallery.com; surfrider.org.
