Portrait of Jane Fonda by Andy Warhol being auctioned off

Jane Fonda is auctioning off her Andy Warhol Portrait. She will be auctioning off a 1982 portrait of herself from an image in her 1968 film Barbarella. The piece is expected to sell anywhere from $25,000 to $30,000. Fonda isn’t the only Warhol subject to sell her portraits. In fact, Liza Minnelli is selling off her collection of Warhol portraits of her and her mom Judy Garland.

Fonda is also auctioning off other prized possessions including her clothing, jewelry, and other art items.

One of the other art pieces in Fonda’s collection is Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel‘s Horses on a Ranch, which is estimated to sell anywhere from $30,000–50,000.

According to Julien’s Auction, where Fonda’s items will be auctioned off, she has quite the collection from all her years in Hollywood:

“The collection is a story of Fonda’s life, representing different points in her celebrated career and personal life. Highlights from the Property from the Collection of Jane Fonda include a one-of-a-kind Andy Warhol 1982 pop lithograph of Fonda as international sex icon Barbarella; Fonda’s iconic 80’s red and black striped leotard featured on the cover of her best-selling Jane Fonda Workout book and album; the Yves Saint Laurent Oscar acceptance speech suit for “Klute”; and her collection of bespoke Atelier Versace garments.”

The auction takes place September 23rd online and in person at Julien’s Auction in Los Angeles.
