Montblanc recognized artist Andy Warhol with its newest line of Great Characters writing instruments. The limited-edition collection of pens come in three different styles, priced between $750.00 and $940.00.

Each style uniquely references Warhol’s work. However, all of the pens feature a cap with four images of a tomato soup can inspired by his 1965 Campbell’s Soup Can Series. Warhol’s signature is engraved on the cap rings. His famous quote, “Art is what you can get away with,” is engraved on the cap top.

The Limited Edition 1928 pen references Warhol’s birth. The design is inspired by his 1964 Flowers series with a different quote engraved on the cap: “You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you.” The special edition pen comes with an abridged version Warhol’s book, The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (from A to B and back Again).
