Revolver Gallery – Grand Opening Celebration

Andy Warhol Art Gallery – Revolver of Beverly Hills

Andy Warhol Icons & Symbols grand opening at Revolver Gallery in Beverly Hills!

When Andy Warhol takes something as mundane as a soup can and displays it in a gallery environment, he provokes his viewers to think about the meaning of this object in a new and different way. Why is this soup important to us? How does this piece reflect our culture?

Warhol saw beauty in an industrial world that we normally wouldn’t call beautiful. His love affair with the method of mechanical reproduction is evident in the number of screenprints, multiples and experimental variations he produced of his works on paper. In essence, he became the factory.

It’s easy to accept this approach to art today because it has become such a part of our visual culture, but for the public in the 1960’s, Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Can really was a radical and shocking new way to experience art.

Come to Revolver Gallery to see the famous Campbell’s Soup Can as well as other pop art prints by Andy Warhol for sale during our exhibition Icons & Symbols.

Andy Warhol Icons & Symbols will be on display from February 14 to April 14, 2013.
