On Monday, 90 years ago, infamous pop artist Andy Warhol was born.

Throughout his nearly 40-year career, Warhol became the leading artist in the pop art movement of the 1960s.

Graduating from Carnegie Institute in New York with a Fine Arts degree in 1945, Warhol had his first published work in Glamour Magazine in 1949.

Though a successful advertising artist in the 1950s, the concept that made Warhol famous wasn’t debuted until 1961.

From Campbell’s soup cans, to portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Mao Zedong, find out where you can view the now-iconic art pieces in person.
