Committee 2000 (Germany)

Committee 200 was a project created in Germany to help fund new arts initiatives in Germany before the year 2000. Warhol’s Committee 2000 was auctioned to gain money for the charity. This piece, like most of Warhol’s paintings, was based on a  polaroid he took; the cups in this painting are likely from a party at Studio 54.
